New office machines 'throw down the gauntlet'
14/02/2008 16:47
A major office equipment manufacturer has "thrown down the gauntlet" to its rivals by unveiling three new office machines.
Brother's new HL-2100 series of office products feature high-speed printing, easy to use scanning and are compactly designed for the smaller office where space can be at a premium.
The HL-2100 series can print at speeds of up to 22 pages per minute while the top model in the range - the HL-2170W - allows the user to be able to access it wirelessly. The HL-2150N, meanwhile, can be networked into a series of office products or office machines.
A statement from the office products manufacturer stated: "The unique design of the new models is based on sleek, ergonomic curves rather than a traditional box shape and the visual appeal is enhanced by the machines' compact size.
"This is thanks to the self contained universal 250-sheet paper tray, which greatly reduces the virtual footprint of each machine."
Earlier this year, Brother launched a major environmental campaign in a bid to reduce the carbon emissions from its office machines.
Brother is also the only office products manufacturer to have passed the Ethical Company Accreditation Scheme across its printers, faxes and all-in-one machines.
