Kyocera Mita receives green office machines certification
11/05/2008 05:09
All office products manufactured by Kyocera Mita in Europe and Africa have been awarded an important environmental certification.
The office products company has announced it has been granted the global ISO 14001 standard, which demonstrates the company's compliance with environmental management systems regarding its office machines.
Effective immediately, the certification covers all office machines manufactured by the company and sold in a wide range of countries, including the UK, South Africa, France, Denmark and Italy.
Kyocera Mita has announced it uses a range of eco-friendly materials in its office machines, including long-life toners in printer cartridges and a major recycling programme.
Tracey Rawling Church, marketing director of Kyocera Mita, said: "We are absolutely thrilled that our European and African subsidiaries have been awarded the ISO 14001 accreditation.
"We have been working hard in the UK towards this, but to have this extended into Europe is a fantastic achievement."
In May, Kyocera will host an event at Birmingham's NEC which will feature government and charity representatives as well as guest speakers from the utilities, conservation and corporate sectors talking about the green office supplies industry.
