Green office machines 'aimed at eco-friendly firms'

One of the world's largest office machines manufacturers has launched two new multifunction office products which are aimed at businesses and home-based workers alike.

Lexmark's X550n and X560n multifunction products (MFPs) give business customers access to high-quality, professional colour printing and increased productivity in an easy-to-use multifunction device, the company claims.

The office products include a range of energy-efficient functions, including fast copying and scanning systems. Both office products can print at speeds of at least 31 pages per minute.

Both office machines print double-sided onto a piece of paper to help companies reduce waste.

Marty Canning, Lexmark vice president, said: "The Lexmark X560n adds another option to Lexmark's award-winning line of colour laser MFPs for customers looking to bring the power of colour to their business.

"The X560n is also energy star certified, making it an ideal product for environmentally conscious customers seeking to make greener purchases."

Last month, Lexmark scooped a prestigious industry award for a range of innovative office products.

It was awarded the Better Buys for Business Innovative Product of the Year prize for 2007 for its C935 series of colour laser printing office machines.
