Canon launches US-bound office machines

One of the world's largest office machines manufacturers has launched a new range of office product in the US, with a UK unveiling to happen later in the year.

Canon's new Colour imageRUNNER C3480/C3080 Series office machines are part of the company's multi-function printer (MFP) products and offer printing, scanning and copying facilities.

The office machines can print at up to 34 pages per minute, while offering "robust" finishing options and high quality document production.

Sam Yoshida, vice-president and general manager of Canon, said: "Most other MFPs on the market in this speed segment come with either a larger footprint or a higher price tag. The new Canon Colour imageRUNNER C3480/C3080 Series models are unique for the office environment.

"Employing the same expanded feature set and high-resolution image quality of Canon's high volume MFPs, the Color imageRUNNER C3480/C3080 Series brings affordable colour printing to office markets."

Earlier this year, Canon announced it will work with technology firm eCopy to install document imaging software on a range of office machines previously made by the company, including the Canon ScanFront 220e network scanners.
