Office supplies can ‘ease tax burden’

By Paperstone on February 28, 2007 in Office Supplies

Office supplies can help small business owners alleviate the pressure during the tax period and help their firms receive the maximum deduction allowed, an expert has claimed.

Evan Carmichael, an entrepreneur expert, has said that the tax season can be a troublesome and traumatic period for many small business owners.

However, he has stated that there are a number of simple measures that entrepreneurs can put in place to ensure "the period just breezes by".

He claims that businesses need to start thinking of taxes as a year round challenge and not just an issue that crops up at the end of every financial year.

Business owners should also assess their tax system from the previous year to ensure that they are not replicating the same mistakes that may have made the process laborious and cumbersome.

Moreover, Mr Carmichael has said that business owners need to ensure that they know what they are filing and just how it can ease the tax burden.

"Purchasing new office supplies that you will need in the future or contributing to a retirement plan can both help maximise deductions for this year," he said.

"But other attempts at reducing your taxes might not be so valid. It’s important to know the difference so that you dont have any hassles down the road."

At Paperstone, we offer a wide selection of office supplies for your business.
