New VoIP smartphone from ZyXEL

By Paperstone on March 26, 2007 in Office Supplies

ZyXEL has launched its new quad-band VoIP enabled mobile smartphone in the UK.

The new V660 will be the envy of office colleagues across the UK, as it allows a host of handy functions such as Wi-Fi calls, email, web and standard mobile phone functions.

It isn’t expected to put an end to office staff sending emails or making spreadsheets from the comfort of their own desks, but with Microsoft Windows Mobile Edition 5.0 enabled they can certainly do it on the move.

As well as office favourites Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook, the phone includes a two megapixel camera, MP3 player and video technology.

And the Skype software comes pre-installed so internet based calls from outside the office will be a piece of cake.

Rob Mackinnon, VoIP product manager at ZyXEL, said: "The growing army of mobile workers is placing businesses under increasing pressure to provide a single device to replace the many that currently occupy our bags and pockets.

"The V660 combines a myriad of devices and ensures that SMBs and consumers alike always have instant access to the world’s sources of information and entertainment."

But if you’re just as happy using the office technology you already have, at Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of computer accessories.
