Laminators ‘connect users with engineers’

By Paperstone on December 10, 2007 in Laminators

A new feature has been introduced to laminators manufactured by Autobond, which provides customers with a quick connection to expert advice.

The office equipment manufacturer has incorporated wireless webcam and Skype phone facilities on its laminators, PrintWeek reports.

Using this feature, customers can communicate with engineers if they run into a problem while using the office machines.

The cameras – which will be attached to the side of the laminators when not being used – will be able to be manipulated as instructed by an engineer, who can also be contacted via the Skype telephone.

John Gilmore, managing director of the office equipment manufacturer, told the news provider: “If a customer is experiencing difficulties, they can call Autobond on the Skype telephone and be put straight through to a highly experienced engineer.

“Even if the engineer was away from the Derbyshire factory, they would be able to view on their monitor every part of the laminator and instruct the operator to carry out certain procedures, including removing covers, to see inside the machine.”

Autobond manufactures a wide range of laminators and other office equipment.

At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of office machines.
