In fact, HP revealed it had 203 supercomputers listed in the Top 500, meaning its entries made up 40 per cent of the total amount more than any other rival vendor.
Winston Prather, vice president and general manager, high performance computing, HP said: "To lead in both market share and the Top 500 list underscores how HP is driving high-performance computing mainstream while advancing innovation at the top."
The printer supplies firm is based in Palo Alto, California and was founded by Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard back in 1939.
