Canon’s assault on the printer supplies market is gathering pace, after it introduced its next generation colour imageRUNNER C5185 multifunction printer series.

The printer supplies firm says the new model offers greater "flexibility, power and performance", as it was unveiled at Canon’s Digital Solutions Forum in Chicago.

It will also feature a range of new functions, including Workflow Composer, which "allows users to register one key for all document processes within an entire workflow or task" and Microsoft Vista support.

Sam Yoshida, vice president and general manager of enterprise systems division, Canon USA, said: "Canon has remained committed to designing products that increase output speeds and quality, while simplifying the end-user experience.

"From creation to finished product, the new colour imageRUNNER C5185 series presents a more complete solution than the market has seen previously; and now with added accessibility and security features, this new imageRUNNER device will help enable both wider collaboration and advanced data protection."

Canon’s status in the printer supplies market is perhaps not as renowned as it is in the copying sector.

However, its printer supplies reputation is sure to go from strength to strength and it recently celebrated the sale of its 1,000,000th digital colour copier.

At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of printer supplies.
