Brother printers ‘receive high marks’

New printers from office equipment manufacturer Brother reflect "another winner" for the company, according to a reviewer.

Writing in PC Advisor, Paul Jasper claims that the Brother HL-5250DN possesses a winning combination of low price and compact size.

One of the features of the office machines which make them worth trying include a 250-sheet Paper tray and an additional tray to hold 50 sheets of alternative media, the review states.

Additionally, it says that the printers are able to produce documents at a very quick speed, with the HL-5250DN printing 21.6 text pages per minute and graphics at 9.6 pages per minute.

Print quality is not compromised by these fast speeds, the review suggests, explaining that text emerges appearing "crisp and sharp, with just a few oddities visible" – and adds up to "one of the best samples produced by a monochrome laser printer".

Replacing printer cartridges is described as easy and the device arrives with a standard cartridge which Brother claims will last for 3,500 pages.

Brother was established in 1958 and its products are sold throughout the world, via a variety of sales operations.
