Xerox office machines freed from printer cartridges
21/11/2007 15:05
Office equipment manufacturer Xerox has announced the release of a new ink technology that it hopes will make printer cartridges obsolete.
The Xerox Phaser 8560 ink is contained in blocks that are almost like wax, which are placed directly in the office machines.
Concord Supplies said that the development could mean that it is no longer necessary to throw away printer cartridges, which could reduce the number of printer supplies which end up in landfills.
Ken Reick, president and chief executive officer of Concord Supplies, said that "the quality of the phaser 8560 ink technology is unsurpassed".
"People continue to embrace the new and innovative Phaser 8560 ink technology as a great and cost effective alternative," he remarked.
"Xerox Phaser 8560 ink is the only choice for customers who seek exceptional print quality with minimal impact on the environment."
In related news, Xerox recently announced that it had produced its first quarterly cash dividend in the past six years.
The success came after the company increased its focus on office machines such as printers, as well as imaging services, it said.
