West Sussex business 'lost without office machines'

Businesses in West Sussex are calling on BT to pay them compensation after a fault in a nearby cable left them without telephones and the internet for four weeks.
Traders in Haywards Heath have claimed that they lost thousands of pounds in trade in the run-up to Christmas and that being without their basic office machines left them stranded.
Speaking to local paper the Argus, businessman Guy Rogers claimed that his company lost in excess of £5,000 during the month-long office machine drought.
He said: "In the two weeks prior to Christmas, usually a very busy time, we were losing about £500 a day in revenue and probably half of that subsequently.
"In total we have lost about £5,000 which is infuriating for a small business."
Attempts by businesses in Haywards Heath to complain about the lack of a telephone service were reportedly hindered by BT's policy of not allowing complaints to be lodged until the fault has been rectified.
The problem has now been fixed and businesses in the area have full use of their office machines again. However, they are still pressing for compensation, with one solicitors firm claiming to have lost "tens of thousands of pounds" when four of its telephones went offline.
Here at Paperstone, we have a full range of office machines, including telephones and fax machines, to help keep you in contact.
