Slimline shredders from Swordfish
17/04/2007 12:55
UK offices clogged up with overbearing bulky machines can breathe a sigh of relief, after Swordfish launched its Space Saver range of paper shredders.
The slimline shredders will save many British offices valuable space and come in various models depending on firms' shredding needs.
A sleek, thin, charcoal design means the Swordfish range won't look out of place even in the most stylish offices.
Document shredding has become an increasingly important aspect of working life in the UK, particularly considering recent research conducted by financial services group Experian.
The findings showed a 70 per cent increase in the last year of identity fraud, hitting the economy for a massive £1.7 billion.
Jill Stevens, director of consumer affairs at Experian, said: "The latest dramatic increase in identity fraud coincides with increasing activity in this space from organised crime but the opportunistic identity fraudster remains a very real threat to consumers, too."
Although the issue is a very serious one, that didn't stop Tom Ballhatchet from producing a hamster-powered shredder recently.
The eco-friendly design is on display in Milan at the Salone Del Mobile furniture show this week.
At Paperstone we can supply your firm with a wide selection of office supplies.
