Kensington launches charity mouse


Office equipment Computer software specialist Kensington have released a wireless mouse supporting the nation's leading breast cancer charity.

Ten per cent of funds raised by the Si750 wireless units will be donated to the Breast Cancer Campaign.

The easily controlled laser mouse is pink to signify its link to the prominent UK charity.

It is not uncommon to see office supplies specialists or businesses showing their compassionate side and getting involved with charitable organisations.

A Scottish-based initiative called Recycling Appeal raises money for the Macmillan Cancer Charity.

For every empty printer cartridge that is recycled £1 goes to the cancer charity.

Howard Browning, director for corporate responsibility at paper supplier James McNaughton, one of the companies involved, said: "Overuse of landfill in the UK is a key concern and by playing our part we are changing attitudes both corporately and personally."

And tomorrow office furniture used by former Enron executives Ken Lay, Richard Kinder & Jeff Skilling will be auctioned on eBay on behalf of Saving Animals.

The charity animal protection organisation will receive the funds raised by the architectural office furniture, which would normally sell for five figure sums.
