30/04/2007 15:03
Anybody who spends a lot of their time using a computer in their office will know that they are susceptible to collecting all sorts of dirt and grime.
Because of this, Dutch electronics giant Philips has launched a new range of dirt-free computer mouse products.
The devices come in a glossy casing, which is ideal for wiping away grime and preventing dirt build-up.
There are four models available and they come in cool, sleek and stylish designs, while also featuring a four-way scroll wheel.
The SPM7711 model is a wireless laser mouse and has a one-year battery life, while the SPM8713 is scaled down for laptops.
Office staff will no longer be able to blame dirty computer equipment for their illnesses now, with Philips' new devices complemented by Unotron's existing range of washable keyboards.
Unotron's keyboards can literally be run under a tap and cleaned, giving offices across the UK the chance to fend off unwanted germs bacteria.
The company's website says: "Unotron is an emerging company that designs and manufactures high-performance, washable keyboards that can easily be cleaned and disinfected to maximise user safety and minimise risk in nearly any traditional computing environment."
