Cartridge recycling to help preserve wildlife
22/01/2007 13:52
A waste recycling firm has instigated a strategic alliance with the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) which will see the organisation receiving money when printer cartridges are recycled.
ACM Waste Management is encouraging all of its clients and contacts to recycle their printer cartridges as part of a drive to get more printer supplies being reused.
A printer cartridge recycling scheme launched with Environmental Business Products forms the basis of the project, which will see £1 donated to ZSL for every cartridge given up for recycling.
ACM chairman Barry Bolton, said: "We work very closely with ZSL as we provide waste management and recycling services for London Zoo and Whipsnade Wild Animal Park.
"The cartridge and recycling scheme seemed a great way to help raise further funds at the same time as encouraging people to adopt vital recycling initiatives."
Mr Bolton added that 50,000 specially designed printer cartridge recycling bags had been produced, each adorned with the ACM and ZSL logos. This means that up to £50,000 could be raised for wildlife conservation thanks to the scheme, with even more up for grabs if mobile phones are recycled.
At Paperstone, we offer a wide selection of printer cartridges for all leading makes and models of printers.
