Printer cartridges to help cancer support
20/12/2006 16:51
Disused and empty printer cartridges are to help raise money for cancer care after a new recycling initiative was launched.
Macmillan Cancer Support has said that it will be able to turn unwanted and waste printer cartridges and mobile phones into tangible sums of money that will be put towards developing cancer treatments.
In addition, Macmillan has claimed that offices and consumers will be able to help protect the environment from leaking chemicals as the printer cartridges will not be filling up landfill sites around the world.
On the Macmillan Cancer Support Recycling Appeal website, it is claimed that: "Every penny received from supporters is precious, so your recycling efforts will be appreciated.
"Macmillan relies on voluntary donations for 91 per cent of their income and simply couldn't do what they do without that support."
According to Macmillan Cancer Support, one in three people will be affected by cancer at some point in their lives and that the proliferation of printers and printer cartridges throughout the UK, everyone can do their part to help support a friend or loved one.
At Paperstone, you can sort out all your printing needs with our full range of printer cartridges.
