We have a wide variety of filing cabinets and filing furniture. Filing cabinets are common throughout offices in the UK, and usually come in two varieties - vertical filing cabinets and side filers (often also called lateral filing cabinets).

Lateral Filing Cabinets (Side Filers)

Side filers are for storing files in a horizontal fashion. They are common filing options in the public sector, and in legal and medical professions.

Vertical Filing Cabinets

Vertical filing cabinets have been around since the turn of the twentieth century. They were invented by EG Siebels who noted that they would be a more efficient method of filing than the pigeon hole system common at the time.

Records and Data Management

Filing cabinets come in a variety of sizes. The common file-sizes in the UK are A4 and foolscap.

  Multidrawers. A comprehensive selection of filing and storage solutions for every need. Designed to provide robust and versatile options.
  
• Side Filing Cabinets
  Side filing cabinets are ideal where floorspace is limited; the range incorporates all the design features of standard filing cabinets but with 30 percent greater filing capacity and a compact shape. Drawers extend less than 440mm, ideal for tight space situations. Each drawer takes one row of foolscap files sideways, or two rows of A4 files front to back.
  
• Standard Filing Cabinets
  Filing drawers will accommodate foolscap filing. Lockable, flush fronted steel filing cabinets, available in 6 colours (other colours available on request). Heavy-duty cabinet construction.
  
• Wood Finish Filing Cabinets
  Fully lockable filing cabinets with foolscap drawers for standard use. Also take foolscap suspension files. Sturdy construction with anti-tilt mechanism. Supplied fully assembled.
